If by “trusted” you mean locally/family owned plus meaningful positive feedback from residents’ families, I’d put several Wichita-area communities on your tour list. I would not treat online ratings as proof of care quality, though—staffing, licensing history, turnover, and how the community handles your loved one’s specific needs matter more.

Family-owned / locally owned options worth investigating

During each tour, I'd ask to see the actual resident-care areas, medication process, staffing schedule for the current shift, recent turnover, state inspection/licensing history, and the contract's complete fee schedule. Most importantly, visit once without an appointment if they'll permit it and observe how staff interact with residents.
