If by “trusted” you mean family/local ownership plus evidence of OEM relationships, certifications, longevity, and production depth, there are several Ohio manufacturers worth putting on an RFQ list. I would not treat “trusted” as a formal ranking, since customer experience varies by program.

Strong candidates for OEM work

• OGS Industries — Family-owned since 1959, with metal stamping, fabrication, machining, assembly, and packaging. It is IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified, ITAR-registered, and says its customers include Honda, Volvo and Lockheed Martin. This is one of the clearest fits if you're sourcing metal components for automotive, aerospace, defense, or industrial OEMs.
• Ferriot Inc. — Family-owned custom injection molder with nearly a century of OEM manufacturing experience and a 200,000-sq.-ft. facility. Particularly interesting for engineered plastics, structural components, finishing and assemblies.
• Thogus Products — Family-owned since 1950, specializing in medium/high-volume injection molding and engineered resins. They offer tooling/mold transfer, JIT/Kanban inventory programs and 24/7 operations.
• Tri-Craft, Inc. — Family-owned/operated since 1967, combining injection molding, metal stamping, tooling and assembly. It serves automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, marine and other industries and is ISO 9001:2015 certified.
• Sunset Industries — Second/third-generation family-owned manufacturer with 60+ years of experience, 4- and 5-axis machining, 22 CNC machines, and ISO 9001/AS9100 certification. It publicly lists aerospace customers including Safran, TransDigm, Parker Aerospace, Eaton and Goodrich.
• K.K. Tool Co. — Family-owned since 1972. Provides CNC machining, grinding, EDM, stamping, reverse engineering, design/development and contract manufacturing, with more than 35,000 sq. ft. and an in-house/vetted supplier network.
• Robey Tool, Inc. — Family-owned since 1986, focused on precision CNC machining and OEM supply-chain work. They explicitly describe themselves as an OEM supply-chain partner and handle prototype through production quantities.
• Added Edge Assembly, Inc. — Family-owned electrical contract manufacturer founded in 1991, specializing in custom wire/cable harnesses and electrical assemblies. UL/CSA certified and 100% circuit tested; they specifically serve engineering teams and OEMs nationwide.

If your OEM program is electronics

• Avcom SMT, Inc. — Family-owned/operated electronics contract manufacturer specializing in PCBA, quick-turn work, high-mix/low-to-mid-volume production and prototypes.
• ANZER — Electronics contract design/manufacturing provider covering PCB assembly, box builds, system integration and wire/cable assemblies.

If you're looking at chemical, consumer or food products

• State Contract Manufacturing — Part of the family-owned State Industrial Products, which dates to 1911. It provides chemical formulation, blending, packaging and manufacturing and reports ISO 9001/14000 certification, 97% on-time delivery and 99% first-time performance.
• Accupack Midwest — Two generations of the Proctor family operate this contract manufacturer/filler/packager, founded in 1986. Focus areas include health & beauty, OTC, personal care and pet care, with FDA/EPA registration and GMP support.
• The Fremont Company — Family-owned food manufacturer offering private-label and contract manufacturing/co-packing, particularly relevant to food and retail OEM/private-brand programs.

My practical shortlist

If you're an OEM procurement/engineering team, I'd investigate these first based on the type of work:

One particularly useful distinction: OGS, Sunset, Ferriot, Thogus and Tri-Craft have stronger publicly documented evidence of established OEM/industrial relationships, whereas some smaller shops may be excellent but simply disclose fewer customer names.
